IOM Releases Report on Breast Cancer and the Environment

The Institute of Medicine (IOM) released a new report today, entitled "Breast Cancer and the Environment: A Life Course Approach." The report, which was sponsored by Susan G. Komen for the Cure, was released during a press conference at the 34th Annual CTRC-AACR San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium. In this report, the IOM reviews the current evidence on breast cancer and the environment and identifies actions that offer potential to reduce women's risk. Future research needs and knowledge gaps that must be filled are also addressed. Read the report brief here.
