A review on drugs to avoid when taking tamoxifen
May 6, 2010
A review published online in the Journal of Clinical Oncology has listed medications that should be avoided by women taking tamoxifen. The recommendations extend previous work that singled out paroxetine and fluoxetine as drugs to avoid. The authors now recommend avoiding some other medications, including antipsychotics, cardiac drugs, and medications for infectious disease. Drugs listed include quinidine, ticlopidine, terfenadine, and cinacalcet.
